Doverist is a womenswear brand. We begin with fabric, then consider material, cut and the movements of daily life together.

Fabric is where Doverist begins to read a garment. The customer does not need a fabric lecture.
We ask whether a material is too heavy for this cut, where the shoulder should sit and whether a loaded pocket distorts the garment.
No adjective can answer these questions. Swatch, pattern and sample are one side; standing, sitting, lifting an arm and walking are the other.
Cut
Shoulder, length, elbow and pocket are considered together.
Wear
Stand, sit, lift an arm and walk. Judgement finishes in movement.
